Auditions The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Edinburgh's next production is H.M.S. Pinafore and Patience to take place the week of 10th - 14th March 2009 in the King's Theatre, Edinburgh. If you wish to apply for a principal part or you would like to take part as a member of chorus and you are not already a member of the society, you will need to audition. Auditions will be held on Sundays 25th May, 2008 and 1st June 2008. The Musical Director, David Lyle and the producer, Alan Borthwick will be pleased to advise you of the requirements for any part. The audition pieces have been chosen and a list of spoken and musical numbers can be found in the audition application. To apply to audition, please download the audition application which is available in both Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats. All the information you should require is in this document, but if you feel the need to ask any further questions, please contact our membership secretary, Rachel Allen by telephoning her on 0131 466 6836. The audition piece for an applicant for a place in the chorus will be a short musical item of your choice, preferably from any Gilbert & Sullivan Opera. Please bring your music with you.
