Samuel J. Taunton

Biography taken from 2010 (Utopia Limited) programme:

Samuel is a West Country boy at heart, hailing from the small village of Woolaston in Gloucestershire. Since joining the chorus of Fiddler on the Roof at school in second year he has progressed through some highs (Major General Stanley, The Lord Chancellor) and many lows (the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland, chorus member with a very loud and repulsive shirt in The Mikado and the Evil Doctor Von Blimpo in a strange super-hero play) to his most recent role, almost two years ago, as Sir Joseph Porter (K.C.B.) in the EUSOG 2008 production of H.M.S. Pinafore. Since then he has really missed being on stage, and is especially glad to return as Tarara! Outwith theatricals, Samuel enjoys railways and likes to volunteer at the Bo’ness and Kinneil railway, go orienteering when he has the time to, drinks tea to great excess, reads detective fiction and Wodehouse, and has a Lothian Buses bus pass!
