Neil French

Biography taken from 2006 (The Grand Duke) programme:

Neil French joined the Society in 2000, playing the role of Ralph Rackstraw in H.M.S. Pinafore.  Since then, he's appeared in a number of Gilbert and Sullivan's heroic (and not-so-heroic) tenor roles, all of whom seem to court grisly death in one form or another.  He's risked suicide (by pistol, hanging and hara-kiri), beheading (twice), and death by supernatural means at the hands of his Uncle's ghost.  2004's Orpheus in the Underworld provided a brief respite, with Orpheus as the only character who's not either dead or immortal; while this year's production brings a novel twist as Gilbert's labyrinthine plot leaves Ernest Dummkopf facing the prospect of being 'only technically dead'.

Neil works as a Software QA Manager. He is married, and lives in Fife.
